2ANNAS accepts films for the International Short Film Competition, the Baltic Short Film Competition, the International Mid-Length Film Competition, the International Children and Youth Competition and our new International Queer Short Film Competition.

The 29th Riga International Short Film Festival 2ANNAS has concluded with the announcement of this year’s award winners. The Grand Prix was awarded to a poetic and allegorical story from the Philippines, while the Best Baltic Short Film prize went to a Latvian documentary exploring human perceptions of the animal world.

Attention! Deadline extended until 24th of January! For the second year during 2ANNAS FORUM, from 6 to 10 April, 2025, three selected participants from the Baltic countries will have an opportunity to participate in a four-day intensive workshop led by established film critic, programmer and short film programme coordinator Michiel Philippaerts.

On April 8, 2024, the Riga International Short Film Festival 2ANNAS Industry Days program 2ANNAS FORUM: In the Maze of Consciousness will begin. This year’s events will focus on the topics of mind, memory and the subconscious. All events are free of charge and open to everyone.
