Focus | Alternative Dimensions | KKC
The programme brings together six short films in which filmmakers explore the boundaries of reality and the possibilities of expanding it. A human can transform into another being, technology can create new life, and the dead can speak. The viewer travels through apocalyptic landscapes, mystical ocean depths, the terrains of distant planets, and dreamlike dimensions, experiencing the world as a multilayered, ever-changing structure.
In this programme, alternative dimensions are more than just sci-fi constructs; they are also a way of seeing and thinking. The filmmakers employ diverse visual, sonic, and narrative strategies to draw attention to what lies beyond the familiar field of perception—transitions, transformations, and possibilities of connection. Reality is presented as an open system, flowing between human beings, nature, technology, and the universe.
Alternative Dimensions invites the viewer into an intense experience in which familiar boundaries shift and the world reveals itself as a pulsating, multilayered spacetime full of surprises.
