The Latvian tour is over!
The aim of the Latvian tour was to travel around the country and screen a selection of shorts from 2ANNAS competition programmes that would reveal the variety in the field of shorts. The team of 2ANNAS was present at every screening so that we could always directly communicate with the audience to find out what they thought and answer the questions.
There were 12 screenings in total, and 2ANNAS traveled 2570 km around the country to get there and back again. We were at two film theaters, one bar, two non-commercial entertainment venues, one film station, five regional cultural centers and the museum of Mark Rothko. By continuing screening at various locations, 2ANNAS overcame the lack of regional film theaters and showed that films can be shown everywhere, as long as you have an empty wall and a projector.
All in all, we would like to thank everybody who was involved in making this project happen, and we hope to continue next year as well!
P.S. If you, by any chance, want to experience the Latvian tour screening one more time, there will be an extra screening on July 10, during Jēkabpils City Festival. More information will follow!
