TEACH US HOW TO FLY / UA / 21’

A hybrid short film follows young Ukrainian photographer Maria, navigating life and redefining her purpose in war-time Kyiv after de-occupation of the region. She meets her alter-ego, foreign journalist, with whom she starts the odyssey through the city, it’s past, present and dreams. She re-discovers feelings of joy and peace, despite on-going melancholy and trauma. Film is dedicated to generation of youth, who fully embraced the reality of war, and is working tirelessly, to protect, preserve what they love: people, places, city itself.
